Meet Bre
Hi, I'm Bre — the owner of Brooks & Co. Vintage Rentals, and the girl who fell in love with a bus. I've owned Nancy since my senior year of high school — long before she was a business, she was a dream come true.
From a Whole Lot of Rust…
…to the Bright Orange Bus Everyone Remembers
It had always been my dream to own a Volkswagen bus. I pictured it perfectly: mountain roads, windows down, my favorite people piled in the back on our way to float the river, Stevie Nicks playing the whole way there. I was a hippie at heart, and for years I begged my parents for a bus of our own. Then one night, after my daily search through Craigslist, eBay, and Facebook listings, I found her. Nancy — a 1970 VW bus, star-spangled and a little worn, just begging me to answer the ad. I think you can guess the rest. My dad and I went to see her, and we fell in love on the spot.
What began as one last father-daughter project in my final year of high school — before college began — became something so much more. We spent countless hours together: rust repair, painting, then repainting, trying on colors until we finally landed on the one that was always meant to be hers. Bright orange. Her signature.
From there, we each took the part we did best. The interior was mine. Under the hood was his. For the next two years, restoring Nancy was our favorite escape — our own little world away from everything else. Until one day we realized something beautiful: she didn't have to be only ours. She could be someone else's escape, too. Someone else's best photograph, happiest memory, most joyful day. Because that's what Nancy taught us. The memories, the smiles, and the photos that stay with you for a lifetime are simply priceless. And just like Nancy, life leaves a few dents and bruises along the way — but surrounded by the people you love, and with a fresh coat of paint every now and then, what comes out the other side is undeniably beautiful.
A True Family Business
Nancy began as a father-daughter project, and Brooks & Co. has been a family business ever since. My family is the heart behind the scenes — helping bring the buses to your weddings, celebrations, and photo days, and caring for every detail like it was our own family's day. Because to us, it kind of is. So when you book with Brooks & Co., you may be welcomed by me — or, on some days, by my wonderful parents, who occasionally run a shoot or event day in my place. Either way, you're in the same caring, capable, family hands. That's not a shortcut; that's our promise.
We're Back — Bigger, Better, and Just Getting Started
Brooks & Co. is back — and this time, we're dreaming even bigger. What began with one little orange bus has grown into something we once only imagined. We're expanding, thoughtfully adding more classic pieces to the Brooks & Co. collection, so there are even more beautiful ways to make your weddings, celebrations, and brand moments unforgettable. Nancy and Ruby are just the beginning. Every piece we add is chosen the same way Nancy was — with heart, with history, and with your most photographed days in mind. This is Brooks & Co., elevated. The same nostalgia you loved, with so much more to come.
